The Leased Vehicle should only be driven by individuals specifically listed in the lease agreement or those who have received explicit written authorization from TRAVELEX. All authorized drivers must hold a valid, full driving license that has been active for at least one year. Individuals with a probationary license are explicitly forbidden from driving any vehicle leased from TRAVELEX.
The Leased Vehicle must not be utilized for commercial hire, unlawful activities, off-road driving, racing, setting pace in races, test driving, reliability or speed testing, towing other vehicles or trailers, or for instructing driving lessons. Driving the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other illegal substances, as per legal standards, is strictly prohibited.

At TRAVELEX, we are dedicated to ensuring your safety and preserving the condition of the Leased Vehicle. Consequently, we must inform you that our vehicles are prohibited from being driven into Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia, and typically Singapore. Additionally, our vehicles cannot be transported by sea, river, or air from the mainland to islands such as Langkawi, Tioman, Redang, Pangkor Island, among others. Understanding the need for flexibility and convenience, we do, however, offer the option to travel to Singapore under specific conditions through an alternative service provided by TRAVELEX. This service includes a variety of facilitative offerings tailored to enhance your travel experience to Singapore, such as our specialized shuttle service. These options are designed to provide hassle-free travel while complying with travel regulations and adhering to our safety and usage policies.
The “Seamless City-to-City Leasing” service provides a flexible option for those renting vehicles from TRAVELEX, allowing them to pick up a leased vehicle at one location and drop it off at another specified location. This service is designed for the convenience of users who may be traveling from one city to another or who need to end their vehicle lease away from their starting point.
Here’s how it generally works:
- Booking: When you book your vehicle, you specify both the pickup and drop-off locations. This allows for planning your trip according to your itinerary without needing to return the vehicle to the original location
- Pickup: You collect your leased vehicle from the designated TRAVELEX branch or pickup point.
- Use: You use the vehicle for your intended travel, adhering to all terms and conditions of the lease agreement.
- Drop-off: At the end of your lease term, you return the vehicle to a pre-agreed TRAVELEX location, which could be in a different city or region from where you started.
In the event of an accident involving the Leased Vehicle, the claim retrieval process will commence once the vehicle is taken to a workshop for repairs. Travelex will initiate this process by notifying you, the User and driver. If there is no response to the initial notification, Travelex will follow up via WhatsApp and email. It is essential to respond to these notifications promptly to avoid deductions from your deposit, which will be processed within 10 days of the vehicle’s return to Travelex.
If the deducted amount from the deposit does not cover the repair costs billed by the workshop, Travelex will contact you to recover the necessary funds. Travelex will attempt to notify you up to three (3) times. Failure to respond will result in Travelex issuing a formal Letter of Demand for reimbursement. Continued non-compliance or failure to respond will lead to legal action against you, as the User and the Driver.
This process is implemented to ensure the efficiency of our operations and fairness among all our customers. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
