If you’re planning a trip to Thailand, there’s something new you need to know before packing your bags: starting 1 May 2025, all international travelers must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before entering the country. Whether you’re flying, crossing the land border, or arriving by sea, this step is now mandatory.
Here’s everything you need to know to make your arrival in Thailand smooth and stress-free.
What is the TDAC?
The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is a digital version of the old paper arrival card. It helps streamline the entry process by allowing travelers to submit their personal and travel information ahead of time. Once submitted, you’ll receive a QR code that you can show to immigration officers upon arrival.
Who Needs to Fill This Out?
If you’re a foreign national, you’ll need to submit the TDAC before entering Thailand.
But here are two exceptions:
– Transit passengers (just passing through Thailand)
– Travelers with a Border pass
Everyone else? You’ll need to get it done.
When Should You Fill It?
You must submit the TDAC within 3 days before your arrival where it includes the arrival day itself. So, if you’re landing in Thailand on Friday, you can start filling out the form from Wednesday onwards.
What Info Do You Need?
Before starting the form, make sure you have this info ready:
– Your passport details
– Personal information (name, nationality, date of birth)
– Flight or travel details (flight number, date and time of arrival)
– Your accommodation details in Thailand
– A short travel history: countries visited in the last 14 days
– Email address (to receive your confirmation)
